# SEO made simple: what really matters

By [Bjarne Fomferra](https://nucez.com/en/about) · 05.08.2026

To a lot of people, SEO sounds like secret knowledge and expensive agencies. It isn't. SEO is a craft. It's about helping search engines find your pages, understand them and trust them. That's all.

I'll explain it without buzzwords, in three parts.

## [Pillar 1: Technology](https://nucez.com/en/blog/core-web-vitals)

Before anyone can read your content, the search engine has to be able to reach it in the first place. That includes:

- **Crawlability**: The search engine's robot has to be able to access your pages.
- **Indexing**: Your pages have to be allowed into the search engine's index.
- **Load time**: A fast page is served more readily. More on that in [Core Web Vitals](https://nucez.com/en/blog/core-web-vitals).
- **Mobile**: Most people search on their phone. A page that doesn't work there loses.
- **Structure**: clean headings, clear URLs and [structured data](https://nucez.com/en/blog/strukturierte-daten).

## [Pillar 2: Content](https://nucez.com/en/blog/core-web-vitals)

Technology alone gets you nowhere if the content doesn't fit. The most important question is always: Does the page answer what someone is actually searching for?

Write for people, not for the algorithm. Concrete, honest, to the point. A page that answers a question clearly beats ten pages full of filler words.

## [Pillar 3: Authority](https://nucez.com/en/blog/core-web-vitals)

Search engines trust pages that others take seriously too. When reputable websites link to you or mention you, it works like a recommendation. Authority grows slowly and honestly, through real work and real relationships.

## [What you can skip](https://nucez.com/en/blog/core-web-vitals)

- Keyword stuffing, meaning cramming the same word into a text twenty times.
- Tricks meant to fool the search engine. Google is faster than you think.
- Buying links in bulk. It gets found out and does more harm than good.

## [In short](https://nucez.com/en/blog/core-web-vitals)

Fast, understandable, honest. If those three things are right, most of SEO is already done. The rest is fine-tuning.

Why that's no longer enough today and what comes on top is covered in [SEO is no longer enough: Now GEO counts too](https://nucez.com/en/blog/seo-reicht-nicht-mehr). If you want your site checked, take a look at my [SEO and GEO analysis](https://nucez.com/en/themen/ki-sichtbarkeit).
