About me

Bjarne Fomferra

Certified application developer (IHK), owner of Nucez Software

I build software for manufacturing, trade and infrastructure. It started with desktop applications in the furniture industry, today it is web, cloud, the JTL ecosystem and the servers underneath.

My standard is simple: software should take work away, not create new work. That is why every project starts with the process, not the technology. Only once it is clear what should happen do I decide what to build it with.

I come from automation. If a task is done by hand three times, it is a candidate for software. That view has shaped every project I have delivered so far, from machine integrations to a lead scraper.

You talk to the person who writes the code. No layers in between, nothing lost in translation, short decision paths.

Career

  1. 01From 2020

    Self-taught start

    Alongside school

During the COVID period I started teaching myself to program. Small tools at first, along with my first experience of server administration. The interest quickly turned into a career choice.

    • Self-taught
    • Linux
    • First servers
  2. 022021 to 2024

    Apprenticeship in application development

    Furniture industry, manufacturing execution systems

The focus was first on desktop applications around manufacturing execution systems. I worked on the full automation of batch-size-one production and built integrations with a wide range of industrial machines. Towards the end of the apprenticeship web work grew: production KPI dashboards and a planning web application that distributes parts across raw boards and calculates the cut for a large saw with the least possible waste.

    • C#
    • .NET
    • MES
    • Machine integration
    • Web dashboards
  3. 032024

    Software engineer

    Furniture industry

Taken on after qualifying. My first project with full ownership was a small production line: automating a CNC machine followed by carton cutting at a packaging plant.

    • CNC
    • Line control
    • Packaging
  4. 042024 to 2025

    Software development and infrastructure

    Server hosting project

Contributed to a hosting project, responsible for all software development as well as building and configuring servers and networks in a data centre. NexoVirt has its origin in this period.

    • Data centre
    • Networking
    • Proxmox VE
    • Virtualisation
  5. 05Since 2025Ongoing

    Software engineer

    Industrial trade, cleaning supplies

Building internal production applications across cloud, desktop and microcontrollers. Alongside that, work on one of the larger German online shops in the sector, integrations with JTL-Wawi, automation of production shipping with cloud and desktop components, and administration of the ERP servers including VMs, backups and databases. This is where I first worked with PHP and JTL development.

    • PHP
    • JTL-Wawi
    • JTL-Shop
    • Microcontrollers
    • ERP servers

    Own products

    Nucez Software

LeadAlytix and NexoVirt are being built alongside employment. Both solve problems I ran into in practice, and I run both myself.

    • TypeScript

What I stand for

  • Data stays in Germany

Operated on German servers, no unnecessary third party services, GDPR as a precondition rather than an afterthought.

  • Code that can be handed over

Readable structure, documentation and tests. Even if you put someone else on it later.

  • An honest assessment

If a project does not make sense in the requested shape, I say so up front, not after the third invoice.

  • Responsibility through to operations

I do not only build, I keep things running. Monitoring, backups and updates are part of the result.

Rather talk directly?

A short message is enough. I usually reply within one working day.
