Client project

Autohaus Dröge

A dealership with workshop, fuel station and car wash, clearly laid out on one website.

A new website for Autohaus Dröge in Extertal-Bösingfeld, a Volkswagen partner since 1964. Sales, a master workshop for all brands, fuel station, car wash and charging point at one location, and the website had to be just as easy to navigate. Delivered on behalf of the agency Mittelstand Media, with concept, copy, design, development and migration done entirely by me.

The old site was built with an outdated site builder. I moved all content to a new, fast system without the dealership losing visibility on Google: anyone arriving via old links or search results automatically lands on the matching new page.

The website is also ready for AI search. Anyone asking ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google for a dealership or workshop in Extertal gets the right details on services, opening hours and contact.

The task

A dealership with many departments: sales, workshop, fuel station, car wash, trade-ins and careers. Visitors want to find the right thing fast, call or send a request. The old website was slow, barely usable on a phone and had to be replaced without losing the good Google rankings.

Before and after

The home page

Drag the slider across the image: the old home page on the left, the new one on the right with a clear message, opening hours at a glance and a direct path to vehicles and service.

Everything at one location

Services people can find

Before, all services were one long text list. Now they are grouped into workshop, cleaning, fuel station and shop, each with an image and a short description.

Every service has its own page, for example for the vehicle inspection or tyre change. That way the dealership is found on Google for exactly what customers search for, and common questions are answered right there.

Selling a car

Trade-in in three steps

Anyone selling their car enters vehicle, first registration and mileage in three short steps. The form checks the entries along the way, so no incomplete requests arrive.

Advertising and spam requests are filtered out automatically, without annoying picture puzzles. Real requests reach the dealership by email right away.

What customers say

Reviews, always up to date

The home page shows ratings from Google and from Volkswagen dealer reviews side by side, with stars, count and real customer comments.

Nobody updates the Google reviews by hand: every night at midnight the website automatically fetches the latest reviews from Google. It always shows the current reviews, and every new good review appears on the dealership's own site the next morning.

On the phone

Straight to the content

Left, the old site on a phone: a cookie notice covers almost the whole screen. Right, the new one: visitors see right away what it is about and can call, write or send a service request from the bar at the bottom.

The top always shows whether service, workshop and sales are open right now, including public holidays. Because the new site does not track visitors, it needs no cookie notice at all.

The result

A website in the Volkswagen look that fits the business: clear, fast on a phone and built so the dealership is found well on Google and in AI search in Extertal and Lippe. The move from the old system happened without any loss on Google.

The figures below come from Google's own measuring tool (the basis of PageSpeed), old and new home page measured on a phone on 12 Oct 2026 under the same conditions. That is how I build the website for your business too.
