NZ Greenwashing-Check
The problem it solves
Since 27 September 2026, the German UWG bans generic environmental claims such as "eco-friendly", "sustainable" or "climate neutral" unless you can prove them. There is no transition period.
Many shops take over thousands of texts from the Wawi and from manufacturers. You are liable for manufacturer texts too, but you do not know where risky wording sits. Nobody can read every text by hand.

Overview with score
The overview shows the greenwashing score, open findings per level (high, medium, note), the last scan and the most frequent rules in your shop.
The scan runs every night via the JTL cron and at the push of a button, large catalogs in stages. No impact on shop loading times.
Find risky green claims before someone sends you a cease-and-desist letter.
A plugin of my own for JTL-Shop 5 that checks all shop texts against the 12 rules of the new German UWG: products, characteristics, categories, manufacturers, CMS pages, OnPage Composer content and news, in German and English.
Every finding comes with level, legal basis, reason and a tip on what to write instead. The plugin is read-only, works without AI and without external services. Setup is described in the documentation (German).

Tested with a real shop
Before launch, the check ran on the catalog of a real shop with around 12,850 texts. Among other things it found generic claims such as "ökologisch unbedenklich" and "environmentally friendly", which came from manufacturer texts in many products. False alarms from the test were fixed in the rules. The check is a tool, not legal advice.
